I decided to do a self-portrait for my photo personality project, showcasing one of my passions in life - music and djing. Music allows me to escape from the world, making it one of the few times I can truly disconnect and let go. For my set design, I referenced a stage from a festival that my brothers and I host. This is a festival that we throw every year out in the desert. We invite all our friends and dance to music for 3 days straight. The lineup consists of everyone who DJS within the friend group. There are multiple stages and set times like an actual festival. I used gummy bears as the crowd and a monster figure to represent myself, capturing the unique and weird atmosphere of the event. To enhance the club-like atmosphere, I projected a blue LED light in the background. The rest was made from items that I bought from Micheals and a cardboard box I cut up as the base.
